Machining & Grinding
Our machine shop in Yallourn was originally constructed and fitted out with the sole purpose of offering engineering support to Yallourn Power Station. We have some of the largest capacity conventional lathes and mills in Australia to cater for those over-sized jobs. We have overhead craneage to support this equipment, capable of a single lift of 50 tonnes or a 90 tonne tandem lift - a perfect choice for project or turnkey work.
- Conventional Lathes up to Ø 3.66m swing x 16m between centres
- NC and CNC Lathes up to Ø 1.12m swing x 6m between centres
- Vertical Borers up to Ø 9.6m swing x 2.8m high and 40T table limit
- Horizontal Borers – work size up to 6m long x 5.3m wide, plus a 40T rotary worktable 3,6m x 3,6m
- CNC Horizontal machining Centres – table size up to 4.2m long x 2.4m wide
- NC Vertical Machining Centres up to a working envelope of 2.2m x 1.1m
- Universal Grinders up to Ø 400mm x 2,000mm long
- Surface Grinders 710mm wide x 1,100mm long
- Plano Mill – table size 3.6m long x 1.1m wide
- Dynamic Balancing – Small up to 150kg x 900 long x 900 RPM Large up to 5T x 5m long x 500 RPM
